    Nice shooting everyone!!!

I didn’t get to hunt too hard, had the boys all weekend. Saw some baldies but no bucks.

    259, in the bunyan here

How’s it been up there? We had some complications on the land we were hunting just south of the Bunyan 3-4 years ago, and are in 157 now.

The last 3-4 years have been tough, will get a couple nice bucks on camera that roll through once, enough to stay positive. Deer numbers have been down, but if a guy puts in time, you’ll have a chance at a deer. If our camp of 2.5 hunters see more than 2-3 deer all week, its pretty good

    Everyone…

You can access the MN DNR website and search down to your specific deer management unit. The stats are really interesting … you can see deer kill per person/license sold, deer kill per square mile, reported buck/doe/fawn kills, winter severity index, etc…

It is a way to see how your specific hunting spot (public or private) compares to the general area around you. The YOY data correlates pretty closely with stats in our private land camp. Winter and wolves bad. Mild winter good.
