finding perch

    What spots on a lake map do you guys typically look for when trying for perch.

    A lot of variables depending on the lake. Most of the lakes I fish for Perch, we look for deep mud flats 20-30 feet.

    Any irregularity in the basin. If your basin is 30ft and there are some 31-32 foot areas that is where I like to look. Don’t over look depression on the shorelines. You can get some hot shallow water bites from them.

    I’ve gotten them from 8′ to > 45′. I know this sounds basic but the lakes nearby are rather large, so I check with the locals where the bite is. A good word of mouthy with a marked up map can help.
