Finally fishing

Well after having to park of the lake yesterday due to the weather we have lines in the water. my bucket list to LOTW,s is finally accomplished.

We were up for 5 days, and left the lake yesterday. Lucky to get off the lake, and the drive home was sketchy at best. Wondered how it went for those trying to get on the lake, passed lots of wheel houses going North.

Good luck fishing, was fantastic for us.

We are out from zipple bay resort. As far as there plowing. 5 miles out.

Make sure to stop by the igloo bar on the ice if you’ve never been!

Was at zipple bay last weekend. Wheelhouse road #3 is where we fished. One day we did decent and the next sucked. Lots of small fish and the preferred color for us was gold.

Kenmarkee resort just down the road has a good taco bar on Friday nights if your looking for something to eat.

I left my shack up there and will be heading back up next weekend, good luck!

We are getting fish, yes small, both eyes and sugar. Even got one of these.

Catching fish today, small and mostly Sauger. Some swing and misses. Lotz of lookers.

it was fun. like i said it was a bucket list thing.

but friday morning it was windier the nall get out.setup was miserable.
saturday morning -22
sunday morning -32
monday morning -22 kinda took some of the fun out of it. had some propane flow issues but we never froze. think we figured we caught about 60 fish for the 2 of us!!!!!!! only 2 real walleyes..no eelpout and 2 crappies. seems catching a crappie thereis awefully rare. lotz of saugar!!!! we where out about 5 1/2 miles.

already planning another trip next Januaury….walleyes supposedly bite better. we went out of zipple bay resort…..not sure the next destination.

i’ve been on red, leech winnie and mille lacs……but LOTW’s is a really BIG lake!!!! lol!

With those kinds of temps I wouldn’t be without at least 2!!

nope. Only brought beer. Wanted to not have a foggy brain in the morning. I did think of some fireball though, but passed

Crappies are rare, but there are more of them being caught in recent years. We have even caught smallmouth there recently which is more rare than crappies I think.

just Google Jeff Sundin. You should get something that says lake fishing reports. Let me know if you get it.

I seen it when I was on my laptop earlier this morning.
