Made it up to the campsite this afternoon. Got a few hours of fishing in with no luck. Now just sitting by the campfire enjoying a cigar. Just wanted to post to anyone that doesn’t know this is an exceptional campground! Big sites with lots of space as well as lots of old growth trees. State of the art fish cleaning house. Terrific boat launch. A place to dock your boat at overnight. Showers too. If you are thinking about fishing leech and want to check out a campground I’d recommend this place especially with stoney currently closed.

Electric source at the docks for recharging?

I believe so. The woman who checked me in said they have charging stations there but I didn’t see any where I’m parked. It’s basically a channel where you beach your boat and tie off using stakes in the ground. Its possible there are a few charging stations around and I’m just not near one. I’ll try to confirm today

Federal Dam is a very nice campground indeed. Pretty well booked if you want something next month. I’m still hopeful Stony will be open in June. Checking everyday…

The only potential drawback is the location if you’re focused on Leech, but pretty convenient if you want to alternate between Leech and Winnie in the same trip.

I can’t comment on the electricity at the docks. I don’t usually leave the boat in the water overnight.

Great place. Electrical posts are along the shore where you beach the boat, they have tie ups staked in the ground to tie off too as well and electrical posts to run power to your boat. Bring enough cord as the posts are a few feet away from the water.
