Tis the season… Just got this from a co-worker.

Found a couple dozen last night, might have to fire up this recipie when I get home.
    Stuffed Morel Mushrooms

Wash mushrooms and stems, cut off stems and keep.

1# bacon fried crisp and diced

    Saute ½ cup chopped onions

Mix bacon and onions with 1 10 oz can clams (drained and chopped) or use 1 6oz can clams and shredded crab (this is what I do).

Chop stems from mushrooms and add to mixture

    Add ¾ cup parmesan cheese

1 ½ cup stove top dressing (moistened)

Garlic powder and black pepper to taste

Fill mushrooms and bake at 350 for 30 minutes then top with shredded parmesan cheese and croutons and broil for 2 min or until cheese is melted.

You honeslty do not know what you are missing Ryan.

I will say this, someone could make the best steak and my wife could sautee some morels and I would just eat the morels.

    Man, I love those things.
