    Tried to make venison/cheddar sticks last night, and they turned out terrible. Anyone got a good recipe for it??? Not summer sausage, but sticks. Thanks!

    Did you do them in the oven or smoker? Do you use high temp cheese? I know when I had made them before and didn’t use high temp cheese they didn’t turn out, switched to high temp cheese and have had good results.

    I have no idea what high temp means… Just used mild cheddar, and did it in a smoker

    I know for my own personal experience using regular cheese caused my sausage and sticks to become mushy and not very good at all. I found high-temp cheese at my local butcher shop as the high temp don’t break down like regular cheese.
