Favorite winter time smallie baits?

What are some of your guys go to baits for winter time smallies?

Hair and plastic/meat, 3.5-5″ flukes. Ripple plastic as usual.

Tubes never really put out much for me, don’t like jerks that much with the C&R. Actually get alot of hits on the smaller spinners but the hookups with those tiny trebles suck.

Personally try to stay away from livebait as much as I can. Though it can shine here and there when I bring it along for eyes.

How do you like to rig your fluke’s Nick? I fish them weightless during the summer up close to the surface.

Forget the exact weighted hook on em, think about 1/8, but seems to do the job pretty good. Allows it to flutter downstream, gets hung up once in awhile and when you pop it free they smack it. Don’t lose many at all rigging them snagless too.
