Curious what plastics everybody/anybody uses or likes to use for icing Walleyes?
For myself honestly, I’ve only used live bait or minnow heads as long as i can recall.
Wondering if I’m missing out on something?

I hear gulp minnows work alright but have never tried myself.

I’ve had some good success tipping spoons with the Gulp minnow heads. I really only use them when there are a lot of pesky perch around stealing meat off. Same applies to summer time when using a gulp crawler on a spinner rig. The perch just cannot peck the gulp off the hook like they can a crawler.

Different bodies of water and walleyes moods influences that a lot. When eyes are aggressive, hair jigs tipped with a 1-1/2 or 2” curl tail can produce very well. When they are neutral, get a lot of lookers.

If your allowed multiple lines, never hurts to work an aggressive bait near a dead stick
