like the glow jigs. always liked the lindy jigs yellowish orangish. Can’t go wrong with a plain hook red/glow in my mind

It is worth buying a few rippin raps and slab raps to throw in the mix.

It is worth buying a few rippin raps and slab raps to throw in the mix.

You don’t have to it’s really all in a manner of perspective. I like the rippin’ raps for a few different reasons. One is when the bite is real good on a lake I find it more fun to fish them. The other is if you aren’t really seeing anything down there with your typical spoon and minnow presentation a rippin’ rap lets a fish be able to find your bait from a further distance away than the said spoon would. If the fish are being finicky I usually being them in with the rippin’ rap and have a dead stick with a minnow down another hole. Most of the time the fish will take the minnow then. Without using the rippin’ rap I’m sure that the fish never would have seen the bait and would have taken off elsewhere. Hope this helps )
