What’s everyone’s favorite panfish rod, length, noodle, action? I have used 28″ noodle rods and ultralight with spring bobbers for years. Thinking about possibly a 32″ noodle. I’d like to hear everyone else’s opinions.

I hate the longer rods. 32 to 36 is my favorite, after 36 it gets dumb with any form of wind or hand shakes.
32 is my all around go to, both in and out of the shack. One of my favorite rods this season has been the 32 inch jt panhandler great in and outside.
I prefer anything between 28in and 32in and I have went toward all noodle rods versus graphite with a spring boober (not to say I wouldnt get a graphite rod with a build in bobber again)
I have a 28in DH Customs Al Dente, a 32in JT Rogue and a 32in TUCR Precision Noodle (sold the TUCR Bullwhip, not a fan personally). I cant say I have a favorite between the 3, it really depends on the jig size I am using, I generally dont go heavier than a 4.5mm or 5mm at the most and go as small as 3mm. Typically have the 3mm tied on the Al Dente as that rod is the lightest/most sensitive of the 3 although they are all pretty close that I dont know if a fish would feel any difference
I have a 30″,32″,and a 36″ power noodle.I prefer the 32 and the 36 outside.
I got back into ice fishing, a couple of years ago, after taking a lot of years off. Basically starting all over from scratch. For me, it’s a toss up between my Elliot Super Noodle and my JT Panhandler springtip. Both rods are 32″.
Mine remains the Thorne Bros. 32″ Panfish Sweetheart rod custom with baitcasting reel. I do also keep a set up with a spinning reel too.

What kind of bait caster ? You fish the rod upside down like a casting set up ? Or are you talking about a inline reels?
My current favorite is my 32” JT panhandler with spring bobber. Sensitive enough for light bites with enough backbone for bigger crappies. My son has one without the spring bobber and was using it this year for walleyes on red and low. I also like my 30” tucr precision noodle for small tungsten but I feel it lacks the backbone for bigger crappies but for just sunfish it’s great.
Elliott 42 Noodle for me. Thing is deadly for jigs and plastics
Multiple Elliot rods that I love:
Evolution 44UL
Inhaler
Odyssey 36
Paragon
Just picked up the 40″ Odyssey, haven’t used it yet, but I’m sure I’ll love it.
I have 2 rods that are my go to for panfish both are 32′ 13 FISH ICE PRO, one noodle for ice jigs, one quick tip for small spoons. 32 : is short enough foe inside my eskimo flip over, yet long enough for hole hopping.

Right there in my avatar picture. Yes, spinning rod upside down, but it’s custom with more line guides to work properly. In fact I like it better without the trigger. The trigger gets in the way with gloves on at times.
28″ Northland Cherry Picker is my panfish rod. I love the backbone and super soft tip. Wish they were still being sold, I would stock up on a couple.
All my rods are custom made for me by me. I used to use a TB Panfish Sweetheart, but moved to my Panfish carbon I have 28″,30″32″ and a 34″. I also been getting used to the Power noodles. I have been playing with tip length for different size lures. I have a orange and white 32″Power noodle I use for Carppie and a few 28″ for my kids to use.
I just purchased a new Clam Scepter 30″ Noodle that had a good feel and sensitive tip I’m excited to try for panfish. Jury is out but it wasn’t terrible price wise at around $40.
