I was a self admitted Ned Rig hater until last summer and fall when I really figured it out and had a great two months with it.

I typically have the Big TRD on in the coppertreuse color, but I came across the Missile Ned Bombs and have been planning to use those. They look really good.

What are you guys putting on your neds?

I like a little craw looking trailer.

I’ve been thinking about using some unorthodox trailers on them. A tube is one of them. If I use a 2.5 inch I think I could get it to stand up which I think could be pretty deadly. There’s also a trailer that had hair on the top of the worm which looks interesting.

Have also been thinking the smaller fluke sizes would be really good too with that thin little tail wiggling around.

I like the Z man tube. Its about the smallest one available and since its made of Elaztech, the durability is incredible and its buoyant.

I hate Elaztech. Yes it’s durable but don’t think about changing colors or you’ll need a dremmel to get it off the hook.

Had a lot of luck this past year with XZone Ned worms… outfished my TRD’s. Picked up the new Maxscent Lil’Trooper to try out this year..

Basically any Z-man is my go-to the TRD hogz outperformed any bait by far in the several bwca trips last year when going for smallies.

Z-Man til the day I day. Finesse TRD is the classic, will switch to a Hula Stickz for a slightly larger profile though

Not really sure what ned heads you use, but in my experience I’ve never had difficulties just sliding them off the hook

With floating worms I do better when the whole rig, ned or jig worm is up but diagonal not vertical-not sure if their is more natural subtle movement this way or of that profile looks more natural.

It’s a challenge around weeds. Is that the case for you guys as well? I’d guess a rocky, clean bottom is better.

Missile Ned bomb got the job done prefishing last night. I’m liking this trailer quite a bit.
