I pretty much run 4lb P-line across the board unless I need to run a heavier line then Ill go 6-8lb P-line but I normally have a good drag system so I can run 6-8 even on my IFishPro setups.

3lb and 6lb P-line Floroclear. Works great so I see no reason to ever change.

I use Sufix ice magic 3lb on my panfish rods, and Sufix 832 8lb to a 6lb or 8lb mono leader on my perch/walleye rods

i like 3lb sufix ice magic for panfish and 4lb or 6lb for walleyes depending on where i am fishing. 4lb test line makes a jigging rap swing much more freely than 6lb.

why? If i ever need to re-spool, i know i should be able to pick up a spare pony spool at any local bait and tackle store on the go.

Where does everyone buy their P-line, and how does it hold up to the “out of nowhere” Pike strike?

I buy P-Line from Thorne Bros. & also DH in Mound. It’s excellent line that holds up great to big fish. Last year my brother caught a mid-40’s muskie on 3 lb & I caught a 28″ walleye on 3 lb. Both were caught on Tonka fishing for panfish.

I use the Suffix for all of my lines. Only had a couple break offs and 2 of them were my fault for not having the drag set properly.

Amazon. Got 2 high 20’s pike on 3lb this weekend with no issue or even marks.

All things Suffix. P-line is likely just as good. The market has given us so many incredible options for just a few dollars.

I like suffix braid with suffix floro leader. Only line I do not like is Stren

How much of a difference does ice braid make vs standard braid?

Vern, good to know as Fleet Farm no longer carries P-Line CX Premium. Does Thorne Bros. carry it in Flo. Green?
