Just curious what everyone’s favorite fish are to eat – ranked in order for Favorite to least favorite. For me it would be:
    Perch
Northern Pike – Although I hate to clean them
    Sunfish
    Walleye
    Crappie

I’ll leave Bass off the list because I don’t want all the diehard bass guy’s hating on Me grin

I rarely keep fish but when I do it’s just a few for a meal that same day.
    Sunfish
    Crappies
    Walleyes
I’m on the same page with the bass thing, never have and never will. Muskies on the other hand, however…

    Atlantic Salmon
    Northern Pike & Crappie
    Yellow Perch
    Walleye
    Burbot
I would put more trout and salmon on the top of this list… But I’m a fly fisherman and don’t keep them too often )

    Sunfish
    Crappie
    Pike
    Walleye
    Cold water bass

If I were to add a cold water bass into my list I’d have it higher than the crappie and probably ahead of the walleye as well. Just can’t beat them white flaky fillets. Taken at the right times and in the right size they are way better eating than most people would ever know.

Some of the best meat is cold water bass. And so many give me hell for that

Me as well. I don’t care. I keep some each spring and fall. There is a lake near me that is overloaded with 12-15″ bass. ( overloaded as in catching 60-80 of them in a few Hr’s of fishing is the norm) Its a cold and deep lake. The bass out of it taste excellent and taking a few limits out of the lake each year is not hurting it – probably helping it as a matter of fact

    1) Perch
    2) Walleye

That’s it for freshwater fish. If we’re talking saltwater fish the list is longer.
