I’m doing some online Christmas shopping this morning while listening to Christmas music and my favorite song just came on! “Dreams of Fireflies” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is my absolute favorite song and always lifts my spirits and brings a smile to my face. yay I LOVE the mixture of rock and orchestra instruments and the drums in this song are just exceptional! I wish it was longer song at only two and a half minutes. It got me thinking, what are some of your favorite Christmas songs?

Mannheim Steamroller has several Christmas albums which get played in our house often.

Almost anything by Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, or Frank Sinatra.

    Some recent ones:
Because It’s Christmas by Sidewalk Prophets
Christmas Time Again by Steven Curtis Chapman

TI like traditional and choral music at Christmas. I’m heavy on the classics.

O Holy Night by almost any good tenor.
O come o come emmanuel – Luciano Pavarotti

Everything Christmas I time in to the BBCs midnight mass for choral music. Wonderful.

Checkout Merry Christmas from the Family by Montgomery Gentry. It’s originally by Robert Earle Keen but I like the video of Montgomery Gentry. If I was younger and more tech savvy, I’d post a link but I’m neither! Happy holidays!

Along the same line…best all Christmas radio stations? I tend to like the traditional versions and get tired of the “All I want for Christmas type” songs which seem to get played over and over…for me they miss the point.

Best one I’ve found is Traditional Holidays on Sirius XM but my subscription is about to run out.

For Classic Christmas Songs it begins and end with Oh Holy Night for me.

My wife had some random stream going while decorating the other day and “Christmas in Hollis” by Run-DmC came on, THAT’S A BANGER! Brought me back to the Beavis and Butthead Christmas Special when I was an easily entertained teenager in the 90s!

I am really into NEWER versions of some old classics. There are just so many. Right now this is my favorite version of Go Tell It – think “Blues Bothers/James Brown”. The whole Zach Williams Christmas album is ROCKIN

X2. Love all versions of the Little Drummer Boy. But Pentatonix version is near the top of the list.
