Hey everyone I’m heading to Lake Pepin for the first time this Saturday 6/5 and meeting my dad. It sure would be fun if we could get on some fish.
I am a river rat near La Crosse but have never fished Pepin. Any tips on tactics that have been working or general locations/depths for catching eyes would be greatly appreciated!
Not many responses. I think a lot of guys are trolling flats or dragging baits and having success. It’s going to be busy out there with the pleasure boats so you may want to get going early or head up further towards the dam.
We fished last Sunday in the rain for an hour and caught some a mile or 2 down from lake city pulling flicker minnows on the 20 to 30 foot break. Marked a lot of fish. Saw some other guys shallower catching fish too.

How’d you do over the weekend?
Did well trolling shad raps fast along points on the wind blown side. 10ish feet of water. It was a lot of fun!
