He’s also been reported as holding a Deputy Sheriff position.

Mistakes happen like one overs. Forgetting to renew a fishing license at the beginning of the year ect. But when a person tries to deceive, well that enters into a whole different world of violations.
How could this person walk into a court room to testify in a traffic case after being convicted of trying to deceive the DNR and the State?

Some think the $500. fine was too light. Some think he should lose his hunting/fishing privileges. Me, I think he should lose his job!

Oh, the arm in the photo? That’s his son helping him hold the fish.

Almost as good as the guy who tried to claim the MN record years ago by bringing a fish across state lines…

Thirteen other pending violations?! This guy’s a serial wildlife law breaker.
To lie and cheat in order to break a record? This guy has issues and I agree with BK, he should be stripped of his badge.

He was fishing with his son.

“Stacy has pleaded guilty to two counts of illegally shooting flathead catfish with a bow – one the 83-pounder, and the other a 50-pound catfish. He was fined $500.

Three more counts of taking game fish by illegal methods were dropped as part of a plea agreement in Reynolds County, but the Department said Stacy still faces the other 13 charges in St. Francois and Jefferson Counties, and said he has three prior conservation violations.”

Walleye – Flathead no matter what species. He’s a crook.

If he went to those lengths to “catch” a state record fish, I shudder to think what he may do as a law enforcement person.

Like you said BK, it isn’t like he had 1 slip up. 13 other violations? This guy doesn’t deserve the opportunity to hunt or fish for a very long time at the very least.
