Just looking for an ice report on Faribault area lakes. There was a good 20 inches of ice last Saturday, but the shorelines were getting just a tad dicey. I imagine it is worse now.

Any report on ice conditions is much appreciated.

Heard there was guys still driving out on Mazaska and a couple other lakes in the area as of Sunday. I never got a chance to see if that area got hit by Saturdays snowstorm or not to help slow the ice melt down. I’m headed that way tomorrow afternoon as well to give it possibly one last try. With the temps they are forecasting for this week guys will still be punching holes next weekend.

Thank you. That is kind of what I thought. I would be walking anyway. I may try it on Saturday morning.

Just got back from the area, I advise to bring some 2×10’s to gain access to the lakes. Mazaska had about 8-10 guys on it, they must have got on from the park access cause no vehicles were at the public. Cedar was sketchy, just barely enough room to get out on that without getting wet, there was 2 guys out fishing there. Hunt was a no go from the public access, this was the worst access out of the lakes I checked. Roberts had the most amount of traffic, and guys were backing down their trailers to get wheelers out onto ice. Ice had pulled anywhere from 3-8ft away from the shorelines. I didn’t feel like getting wet, so I headed back home without wetting a line. Good luck if anyone does venture out, but I think I’m hanging the ice season up.

I would imagine so. German swallowed up the last big chunk yesterday, so I can only assume those two are open also.
