    I wanted to let people know that we’ll be running another season of the Rivereyes Memorial Fantasy Football league. League members from last year have until August 19th to claim their spot in the 2015 version. After that, I’ll open up the league to new members.

    For those that are new to the site, we play each year with the entry fee being one crankbait and it is winner take all.

    I’ll post more info between now and Aug. 19 but let’s get the season rolling, now that teams are in camps and the Vikings Hall of Fame game coming up shortly.

    Looking forward to another fun season!!

    We don’t have PPR but we do have an extensive performance point matrix. I’m a little bit old school in that performance points are important but should not rule the day. An average score in our league would be in the 60-70 point range. We get a few scores over 100 during the season but also see some 20’s and 30’s.

    I’d be up for changing the scoring since I’ve never finished higher than fourth in our first 6 years.

    We have a 12 team league.

    I like it the way it is but got no problems if the ‘Mish wants to make a change..
    Cougar, if you draft more Packers you may move up a few notches!

    I’m not a fantasy guru by any means and I’ve never done an online draft, so I did the math on 1:15 per pick X 12 teams X 15 rounds and I started to plan on not being done until after 11:30. I couldn’t believe how fast that went, we were done in about 1 hour 15 minutes!

    Had to have my father in law draft for me as I was at fish camp with very little service. Not in love with my draft but what can you do. Here’s to a good season

    I’ve never used Yahoo for fantasy before and I’m not positive what league settings are, but if you’re wondering if we have a spot to put IR people, I don’t believe there really is one, they just take up a roster spot like anyone else.

    So if a guy had someone like Arian Foster, a good RB who is on IR but might be worth holding onto so you can play him when he returns, you can keep him on your roster but he does take up a roster spot. However, once he returns you have a quality RB to play.

    Waivers clear overnight tonight and then again later in the week (Wed and Sat if I’m not mistaken?). Waiver priority is listed on the league homepage next to rank. The person with the #1 waiver priority gets first claim to any player then #2 etc. Once you successfully use a waiver claim, you are moved to the back of the line and move up until someone ahead of you. Initial waiver claim priority is reverse of draft order. There is no limit on the number of moves you can make in a season or week.
