Anyone drive a truck with three car seats in back? Possibly all three will be full sized car seats because SWMBO would like a third. I am thinking something like an F250 crew cab. We are possibly going to be starting a small farm in the near future so a truck would be better than an SUV at this point.

For some reason, checking with Kooty comes to mind. We have had two full size cars and an infant carrier, but not 3 full car seats. BTW, what does SWMBO stand for?

We run a minivan and a full size truck. Kids are all teenagers now. That only means they want friends with and need more room. Truck is a Silverado with full size back seat and front bench seat. Every bit of it gets used.

If it matters to you the 1/2 ton trucks use the same chassis so you will loose about a foot of box space between the crew cab and the extended cabs. They say the crew cabs are in more demand so they hold there value a little more if you trade often.

The demand is so high in fact that they charge you a wopping 6k more for a crew cab. According to ford’s build a truck feature on their website anyway.

If you can fit three full-sized carseats in the back seat of any vehicle, I’d like to see a pic. Carseats these days are enormous.

Agreed, the crew cab fords have a huge back seat. I take mine to Canada with 5 guys and none of us are under 6’3″ and we all eat good. Plenty of room for 3 guys and leg room to spare. Mine is a 1/2 ton and has a 6.5′ box.
