Fall turkey

    The fall turkey season starts Saturday here in MN. Anyone heading out? I’ll be heading to Canada for a week, but when I get back I’ll always have a turkey arrow in my quiver!!

    I will be, but maybe not Saturday morning. I can’t wait to get back into the stand!

    One good thing about last week is I filled my fall turkey tag! I wanted to get another with the bow, but I caved in late in the week. Mostly had the tag so I could arrow one when in the deer stand. That never happened, but I kept getting pics of 3 toms in this one area between 11:30 and noon almost every day. So with it being mid day and the season coming to an end I grabbed the Benelli Nova and headed to that spot at 11am. Sat about 5 minutes and here they come. 10 yard shot at the biggest one of the 3 and it was over. He ended up being quite a bird. 11.5″ beard and 1.5″ spurs. Had to be a 4 or 5 year old. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted all the pics off my phone so I don’t have one to post. (
