Anyone know if the fall keep season for walleye is still in effect?

I have not heard of a reason it won’t be.

I would have to assume it’s still a go as that’s what is printed in the book and online. I think this is a thing of no news is good news.

And open until Midnight! That’s quite a few hours of night trolling, come October!

I was just looking at the regs again. When did eelpout become release only? Haven’t been to the Pond in a few years.

That’s a good question! I’ve been catching a few the last couple years ice fishing but nothing of any size to keep anyway. But, I don’t recall ever seeing that in the regs..

Here are the 2021 regs. I would say that the harvest of walleye starting in a week is a go at this point along with the extended fishing hours until midnight. Harvest of smallmouth closes on Sun, Sept 12.

I’m not sure when this law was applied. Sometimes people have to be told (sometimes with a fine) to keep the ice clean. Whether it be butts, beer cans or Eelpout.

Looks like they recently stuck that one in. Was not there in May. Dang, no lobster this winter…. smash

It’ll be interesting to see if the Eelpout C&R will be on the “new” regs come December 1st.

    Pshh, no biggie.

You’ll probably still be able to pick up a real lobster tail for under 48$ at the supermarket by around that time. Think of how much dough you throw into just the angling, anyways! whistling
