My job has me in Ashland from October to January, and I’m interested in connecting with some of their legendary Smallmouth and/or Walleye. Looking for recommendations for a guide. I’m boatless with only chest waders with me and not sure where to go. Thanks in advance!

Yep, Josh Teigen would be a great choice, others to consider are Chris Beeksma, Nate Baron and you could try Tommie Hicks, just not sure how much smallie/walleye fishing he’s doing right now or ever as he’s seems to be mostly trout/salmon and he’s doing ducks as well right now.

    All four are topnotch!!!

Five of us hired Nate and Aaron Kastern (715-413-0336) two years ago for a mid-October trip.Despite high winds keeping us within the lighthouse breakwall both days, they put us on a good number of smallies and some pike, and were fun to fish with.
We just got back from 3 days up there with our own boats, and did good with the smallies when we could get out. Talked to a local who said that you have a good chance of getting into smallies and pike right off the ore dock.
