Fall fishing is the best

Spent the afternoon yesterday on Minnetonka with near-zero boats on the lake because of the Vikes game. It was eerie. Anyway, despite the cold front, caught a nice mess of fish, including a couple walleye. I fish so much more during the fall because of more free time, less commitments, and lower temps. Love it.

Time on the water > time not on the water. Well done!

If you bleed those walleye and throw them in a cooler they will look much healthier when you clean them. Those ones looked to have baked in a livewell for a while.
And I also love fall fishing we head up to Vermilion midweek again.

Love it too, took the boys up to Rainy over the weekend

Fishing was slow but we caught dinner and the river was pretty quiet for boat traffic waytogo

I much prefer fall fishing versus summer and spring (ice fishing is my favorite though)

Less boat traffic, water skiers and wave runners and I prefer the fall weather over summer heat too

Leaving for LOTW/Rainy River next week on 10/2

Things are finally starting to get going on Rainy Lake. The best is yet to come.

Fishing was fantastic last weekend in EC MN. Crappie were pretty aggressive.

Area sounded like a waterfowl war zone Saturday morning (cabin windows open). Sunday counted maybe a dozen shots. Friday evening saw quite a few boats go by our lake towing duck boats. Based on the area, the road, and direction headed most probably were either sleeping at the launch or going out on the marsh to sleep next to their little pocket or point.

    Don’t tell too many people

I like the lakes and landings to myself. My boat sits in summer storage until October
