At least it is up above 10K! As much as we’ve all enjoyed this absurdly hot weather and drought this year in Colorado(Sarcasm), I welcome the cooler weather and the fishing that comes with it!!
Recently was up at around 10.5K fishing for big brown trout and big cuttys. The team and I had good success and lots of failures lol. Remy and I both had MA Browns break us off, site FLY fishing them in the shallows. Remy’s did a full jump out of the water as well! We got some great drone shots of the area we were fishing at sunset, the colors look great. We were also camping up there but only touched on that lightly as the fire ban and cold weather at night didn’t make for much of any content haha.
Lots of bites on the flies but couldn’t get them in…all our landed fish were on HD trout lures (Ghost cutthroat and Brown Trout) or live worms. Fun underwater release shots on most of the fish too!
