Fall fishing is upon us, and not just up in the high country! Showed up to the Colorado river recently before the sun got over the mountains and had a good and also frustrating time getting some good size trout🎣
Mid 40’s temperature…Water visibility was better then normal for over here, with about 2 feet of visibility. The big issue was the amount of vegetation floating all over the water column. 99% of my casts were full of weeds, no matter where I fished my lures. If I had my lure in the water long enough and it didn’t get weeds, I got a fish to bite. Caught some good size trout on the HD Brown, Rainbow Trout V2, and got my first fish with the Micro HD; fishing some small pockets and shallower water. Hoping for some of that vegetation to go away so I can get after it again and not have weeds on every cast lol.
