5th trip to my shore spot this month and I still haven’t hooked into a walleye yet.

Been almost 3 weeks since we were out. But we were trolling 2.2-2.5. Water was warmer then of course.

For you guys trolling stick baits at less then 2 mph are using something to help get them down? Fishing shallower like 4-8 feet, or they just come up that far and hit? Interested in your guys thoughts

The walleyes will always come up and eat. I had fish breaching the surface in 8’ of water on Gull to smash my Rap Floaters maybe 15” down going 1.7mph.

I’m curious, can anyone confirm harvesting a slot fish during Oct? I know the bite has been pretty tough. I’m looking for a rough count to compare to creel results.

As soon as the slot was opened, I didn’t catch another walleye. May, June, and July was the easiest walleye fishing on Mille Lacs I’d seen in a long time.

Yeah, the bite was hot AF this spring. Thanks for the info.

We kept two slot fish when were up around the 18th. Out of around 30 fish. All but 1 was over.

I went back to my shore spot on Saturday night and finally got a bite this fall. It was 24.75″, well fed, and hit on a jerkbait. That was the only bite I got in the hour I was out there.
