Having trouble finding some fake trail cams to deter trespassers.

Anybody know where I can find some?

I’ve got atleast 12 that are no longer working. If you want them, they’re yours.

Trailcams, real or fake, don’t deter most trespassers. They’ll just steal them. Using a non-functioning trail cam at least gives you a chuckle that the thief will be unhappy.

I didn’t see that model on my last trip to Scheels or would have bought a couple.

They are behind the counter. You don’t need a prescription but you do need to ask. devil

Maybe if you put fake antennas on them too it will work a little bit.

Trail cams haven’t stopped trespassers at all in our experience, unfortunately.

Trail cameras are going to be the absolute worst way to prevent trespassing. By definition they are hard to see, so unless you put one square on a gate, chances are they will never be seen.

If you are having an issue with a neighbor, talking to them is the only way forward. They might be mistaken on the borders, or some other issue. If it is some hunters, especially if you are butted up to public land, it’s probably just because they can’t tell where the property line is. There’s nothing better than bright colored no hunting signs for that.

I was up at the hunting shack over the weekend. One of the crew has been hanging wood duck houses on the property for a couple of years, this year hung a couple near the shack with trail cams in them. It doesn’t deter anyone from entering the property but we got a good look at the trucks, ATVs and people coming in. We haven’t had any significant issues for several years but if it happens we can turn over the images to law enforcement. Totally reactive but better than nothing.
