Chartruese Green Core
Electric Blue
Cotton Candy
Pearl Blue Oystershell
Pink Bubblegum PepperBut if you want a killer set up for pool 8 get yourself some Catalpa Orange Super Doo’s
March 30, 2011 at 4:42 pm #952239Pool 4 Fab 5 rarely disappointments. But add orange core & green core if water gets really dirty. White, the forgotten color, has been proving itself as well.
oyster
pro-blue
chart-pepper
purp’chart
firecracker chartLet us know what works for you!
March 30, 2011 at 4:43 pm #952241Add in oystershell, Stewarts problue, chartreuse pepper, catalapa chart. rings and the formerly available chart. pepper super doos (I bought a big stockpile a while back) to that list and you are getting near perfection. You really should just buy them all upfront – they should have that option when buying your first ringworms – you’ll wind up owning them all eventually anyhow ! And trust me when I say – each dog will have it’s day.
Now if we can only get them made in a green tomato color my tackle box would be complete… no wait – there are the discontinued ones from the past to acquire too… LOL

firecracker/chart tailMarch 31, 2011 at 12:47 am #952393I’m going to ask a stupid question relating to the ringworms. Part because I don’t want to make an incorrect assumption and part because I’ve never fished with a ringworm. Anyways, here it is: how do you guys fish with the ringworm? Do you use a jig? Do you drag it with a jig? Lindy rig? Bottom bouncer and a spinner rig? All of the above?

March 31, 2011 at 4:30 am #952448I think you could do all of the above. Most river guys I know run it on a jig. Vertical jiggin, pitching and draggin are all popular with that set up.
All the colors stated above are great choices. After the high dirty water of last year if I had one color to take on the river with me this spring it would be white. White paddle tail or Moxies to be exact.

X2 here.
Jig & ringworm for pitching, dragging & vertical jigging. You really can’t go wrong using them this way.
Same goes for the new Moxi’s.March 31, 2011 at 3:43 pm #952581Quote:

Back when I only fished the MN river, white was the ONLY color of plastic I threw. I will be stocking up on white moxies, ringworms, and white cranks again now that the water level looks like it will be a long drawn out period of high/dirty water.
