Congrats on the new rod! That 69MLXF is my favorite action! I assume you’ll be using it for pitching jigs? A lot of people on this site endorse Pflueger- they’re great! I think that if you give the Arbor or President XT in the size 30, you’ll be happy! I personally prefer Shimano reels. On my 69MLXF, I have a Stradic CI4 2500 size which I love! I do have the 6’9″ in an Extreme, so the light weight is a plus! I don’t know what price range you’re looking, but both the Sahara and Symetre should give you great reels at a great price. I must add that the reason I use Shimanos is because I believe they pick up line with lightning speed and work well when pitching jigs. I hope this helps! I would say that the 2500 Shimano or the 30 Pfluegers would both be great options for you! Enjoy that new rod, I think it will soon become youy’re favorite!

I’d personally put a shiamano stradic 2500 C14 on it.

I absolutely love the arbor. It can cast a jig a mile and its smooth as silk. Best of all you can get them right at everts and be fishing a minute later.

Shimano Sahara 2500 $79 at tackle warehouse. Have used one for the past 5-6 yrs. and it works great still.

All the reels mentioned are great products….but some of those will balance much better on your new 6’9″ than others. I encourage you to put a few different reels on the rod to confirm balance acceptable to you. Enjoy your new set-up !
