Spent Sunday May 2nd out on the St. Croix. I fished both Hudson and Bayport and managed to get into a few nice eater Walleyes. I was able to find them in 9-12 feet of water on either shoreline breaks or mid-channel structure. I was trolling with shad colored jointed shad raps and had a lot of fun finally putting some 2010 ‘eyes into the boat. Hopefully the Croix can produce all year…how are the rest of you targeting the fish?….oh, and who new a monster flathead would hit a shad-rap…fought him for and hour got him to the boat and “snap”….oh, well..at least I had a nice Walleye dinner…

flat heads like shad raps… and once they hit them, I’ve never been able to get them tuned even remotely close.

BK, please talk to them and tell them to leave my raps alone! at about $8 a pop, if the wreck to many, they might end up as dinner!!!

I got out Sunday for about 2 hours, fished live bait on a deep bend just south of the high bridge. Managed lots of white bass and sheepshead, but did get 2 keeper walleye. Nothing huge though.
