Lead Core Brand Recommendations?

Not sure if all brands are created equal. Any recommendations?

I see Sufix now has a lead core product – I thought I read that it is suppose to have smaller diameter relative to others. Can anyone attest to this, or any reviews on it?

Also heard a good review on Western’ Tuf-Line lead core (easy to see color changes).

    Thanks!

I like Cabela’s brand. The colors are easy to differentiate. I have 4 reels set up so the colors are all exactly the same on each. If your spooling more than one reel with 10 colors, make sure you buy the 200 yard spool because its less expensive and the colors reset every 100 yards.

I’ve had good luck with both Cabela’s & Kerplunk brands over the past five years.
Not sure about Sufix yet. Haven’t tried it or heard anything good or bad.

The one brand I will never buy again is Woodstock. It’s cheaper up front but the quality isn’t even close to Cabela’s or Kerplunk.

Same here. It’s the only kind I’ve used, but it seems to work real well for me.

I’ve had 2 bad spools of Western, won’t use it anymore. The Kerplunk brand is the best I’ve used.

Got some bad news dropped on me tonight. Was at the local cabela’s store and I was told that the cabela’s brand name leadcore line is….no more. This sounds exactly like the crap that cabela’s has done for years: it’s a product that work, is popular with its users….let’s discontinue it!! I was told they are pushing Sufix in its place.
