A quick update……. Did get up to the tail waters of Guttenburg on Saturday.
Pretty tough with only 4 box fish and a handful of shorts between two guys. Heard that the bite was alot tougher on Sunday .
Water clarity is not too bad, very fishable as of right now, hopefully it doesn’t get worse. Can’t speak for the ramp in Guttenburg but if you are launching from the Wi. side then your options are very limited. Cassvilles main park launch is currently under construction, alot of new riprap surrounding the new ramps making it impossible to shore your rig. The launch docks are NOT in! Upriver, Scleichers landing-resort is under water(normal for this time of year) leaving you with Cassvilles upper power plant. This is a non maintained ramp with big ruts and zero docks. A boat can be launched there but two people would make life easier.
By the looks of the chart, the high water will stay in the warning zone and level off before flood stage. When this happens let’s hope that it drops slowly, giving the spawn a fighting chance. Play it safe and watch out, plenty of big debris rushing down river! pool 11 water levels

Jeff, my brother went up to the float on Sunday and he said the bite was horrible. His first cast he tied into a nice 23″ walleye, but that marked his only fish for the day. I will be up there this weekend fishing off the float Saturday and Sunday. I hope that the big girls start roaming around. My brother said that he saw a couple nice saugers come up by the I beam on the Wisconsin side. I may have Jamie drop me off on the rocks, too. That can be good when water’s high. Anyway, good luck fishing pool 11 this spring and make sure to share any successes, I know I will:)
