Another option if case your interested in catch record release type tournaments. I developed an excel based weigh in system that turns each fish’s length into a weight. It’s standardized and works very well. This might be a good option for a club. Let me know if you want any info.

This is similar to what the AIM organization is doing.

I was the tournament director for the Cedar Valley Walleye Club here in central Iowa for some time. We got the clubs scale from Berne scale company I believe. Got a 45 lb. max scale that is waterproof and S.S. for around 400 bucks back five years ago. It has held up great, maybe on the third set of batterys.
The bigger tournaments with the big money will have a scale with a locking weight setting once the fish stop moving. Those type of scale are great but cost alot more money.
Feel free to get ahold of me with other question. We have a growing club with 80 plus members and run five tournaments a year. I have seen a few problems come up once in a while!

    Yep. Bernie Scales.

You need a basic butcher wash down scale. 50 lb max is about right. Expect to pay $300-400 bucks. Call Bernie and ask if they have any used or refurbished scales. They only deal in quality stuff. If you don;t need one real quick, they might be able to take care of you. Good Luck!
