Underwater on Pool 4 of the Mississippi.

One of the few spots in MN a person can fish out of their boat all year.

From last Saturday, Dec 19th ’09. Temp: Mid 20’s. Water: Dang cold.

Snuggled inside a SnoSuit, it was as toasty as in my recliner next to the fire place. Only thing missing were the dog and popcorn!

Cedar Creek, if you would have moved up 5 boat lengths….

Were any fish harmed in the act of filming this sequel?

Why pick on the defenseless old guy—even if Redneckcracker is the hottest bait not available in the baitshop

Once you admit…in public, that the BK Semi Pro Electric Blue Paddletail will out fish the Redneckcricket, you’ll feel the love ol’geezer.

PS in case you take off to the Dakota’s, you and your family have a great Christmas!

I think a fish off should be in the works for next year along with a generous meal of crow(as in Semi Crow Blue) to the loser. I am watching the weather and am getting ready to bolt for the Dakotas and try to sneak in before the weather hits. A very Merry Christmas to everyone—even you Brian

    Cool video Brian
There seems to be a generation gap between your music selection and Matt’s

that’s pretty cool, do you have to add some additional weights to keep the camera down and the cable tighter? Nice to smell you at the ice fishing show!

Chomps, no extra weight. Just the camera right out of the box and a camcorder.

…and I was wearing my best going out to meet people stink bait too. Glad you noticed.

Bret, I had 3 Jimmy Durante songs attached to the video, but YouTube stripped them off.

Make someone happy, just make someone happy and you’ll be happy toooooooooooo.

Um Bret? Thanks and everything…but the song refers to a “her” and not a “him”.

Either way…Merry Christmas to the Clark Family from BK and HIS favorite family!

Those were small mouth bass in that time frame.

Who would have guess there were smallies on the upper end of Pool 4!

Looks like you pissed off that one smallie. Hope he bites on my line.
Cool vid, BK. I think I saw some of my tackle.
Have a Merry Christmas, and hope to see you at the ramp soon. Oh by the way, are the ramps open ?

It’s not a question if the ramps are open…it’s more about…Is the coffee on?

Very cool BK and thanks for sharing. A bit depressing that the bottom is carpeted with fish and I have a hard time catching them.

Curious, did you find the fish at different depths; were they intermingled.

    Jeff and Bart,

I have about 20 minutes of drifting over sand with maybe on or two fish showing up. So it’s not like they are carpeted all over from the dam to Red Wing.

There were fish (sauger/eyes) in fast water, slow water, deep water and shallow water…but the thick concentrations were on the current seams as I’ve heard Dean tell hundreds of new to P4 anglers.

There are current seams all the way across the river, easy to identify towards the dam and a little harder to see moving down stream.

The only thing I can say about depth in my limited time nosing around down there…is that in the really deep water there are very very few larger size saugers

    Hope that answers your questions.

    Merry Christmas!!

Going to the movies at Briank’s underwater videos is one of the nice things about winter water, I’ll be waiting for the next one to come out.
