Pool 2…fishing and friends

    I had a ball fishing P-2 last night with Mike W. Got to meet Rootski, Saw Bob Johnson, Jake, DeZee and Alvin Mack.

    Man, those Eyes up there are on STEROIDS! The girth on those were unreal! We stuck fish from 18″ to 27″. I’m certain my 27 was over 9 lbs. I will post a report as soon as I can download a few pics to my Granddaughters PC.

    Thanks Tom. It was a pleasure to share the boat with you. Just finishing up another turkey sandwich right now and will be on the road back down there. Someone has to go keep those walleyes company.

    Mike’s put me on to fish more than once. As for the ‘eyes….they seem to have footballs lodged in their stomachs. I caught a 24″ today that I weighed at 8.1lb.

    No license Stuart. Just putting some friends on fish. I already run one business. Not sure if I want to jump into another one. May be someday.

    Tom, Cal, if you guys send me those photos I’ll try to get a post up later today if I dont head back down there.

    I have been stopped and checked by the coast guard on pool 2. This was about 3 years ago. They asked if I was guiding down there. That kinda threw me for a loop as I was fishing alone that day.

    Mike was not “Guiding” me as a professional Guide. It was through an open seat invitation. Anyone can “guide” all they want to on the Mississippi for free w/o a 6 pack license.

    Mike is the best free nonguide on pool 2! I got my personal best 29.25″ November sweetheart out of his boat 2 years ago. And I got a 27.5″ the other night out of Mike’s boat.

    Mr. “W” introduced me to Pool 2, now he’s become so popular for is generous informational nonguided donations, it’s become like pulling teeth to find an open seat in his boat

    I say to be fair maybe we should all just take a number
