Just wondering if anyone has any advice… I’m heading out on the Croix with a few friends tomorrow and I am wondering what types of presentations would be the best this time of year for walleyes and saugers, such as jigging, trolling cranks etc… We will probably fish the river between the Hudson bridge and Prescott. If anyone has any tips or help, that would be awesome!!!

trolling cranks on lead line is cant miss approach this time of year. pulling spinners or rigging points that extend out into deep water can also produce.. best advice is to cover lots of water and try all depths

Frankly, if I were fishing tomorrow, I’d pull up to a sandy beach with a cooler full of , oil up and put out a bobber! You can decide whether you want to bother baiting the hook or not.
    Remember, chicks dig big bobbers!

    This way you can’t lose.

funny you should mention bobbers. i pulled lead all over H-E- double hockey sticks last evening and couldn’t catch a cold. threw a slip bobber out and caught some really nice hand sized gills. not quite bulls but they sure were nice ones. iwas in 8 ft of water and close to rip rap.

I once heard a wise man say that if you have the hook baited while you’re drinking, it’s considered fishing.

    Otherwise you’re considered an alcoholic
