I’ve heard nothing good about walleye fishing in Iowa and Eastern South Dakota. All my buddies tell me that nothing is happening right now. I say hogwash! SOMEbody has got to be on the bite. I have a couple days and a new St.Croix that needs to tangle with ole’ Marble Eyes. Anybody got an idea as to where I should go?

Hey there…well from what I’ve heard and from what I’ve read in some other forums, the walleye bite is in fact kinda slow here in Iowa. I’ve included a link here for you, this is for a bait shop up at Storm Lake, one of the walleye hot spots. They might be able to provide you with some info and suggestions. Good Luck.. head west young grass hopper, the fishing is indeed hot somewhere. I’d look hard at Fracis Case, they have been putt’n the hammer down from Platte Creek Rec area the Snake Creek, and areas 10-15 miles in either direction. I know even Lewis and Clark is good at times and have heard reports coming from the river downstream from Gavins Pt. Dam things are heating up.

Checked out Storm Lake…. one of my faves…. and they said it is super slow right now. Perhaps Spirit would be better or else it looks like I’m going to SD.
