cowbells for walleyes?

Has anyone ever tried trolling cowbells for walleyes? I was up trout fishing this last weekend and it was the first time id ever seen them. We attached big snap weights to them and were able to troll deep with shallow cranks. I think it would work for walleyes that were really agressive or really stained water. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it.

I’ve experimented with cowbells while trolling crankbaits hoping it would draw in more walleyes. The amount of force and pressure while trolling was a little bit too much for my walleye trolling rods. However, I do think it has potential with a crawler/spinner rig type of set up along with heavier trolling rods.
