I wanted to go Walleye fishing ,she wanted to go Catfishing..

We started out walleye fishing a couple of the wingdam areas ,with no results in keepers ,dusk was soon upon us so moved over to a few possible cat spots with only one solid hit to come all night,we decided to call it quits around midnight due to a JUNK spotlight.

Once daylight came we went back out and gave our best shot again ,checked out a few areas we have not fished before with some better results for the both of us, no real big fish but enough action to keep our attention. I had my walleye action and she got her cat action.

Best results for me come from using a orange 3/16 H20 jig/ crawler or a leach and a blue 1/8 dragon jig/leach, patients was the key to for me , very soft hits from all walleys caught. I did manage one 8-10lb cat tho by means of jig/crawler. That didnt set well with her tho

She did manage a few cats but again No big onesbut did catch one keeper walleye , she is just starting to be serious on her catfishing and was happy with her outting , thinking she caught 5-6 cats and a few sheaps on our night/days stay at Everts. Best tatic for her was plain ole crawlers, Bullheads produced NOTHING that trip, Never the less she was VERY happy indeed and we both are looking forword to our next outting.

We VERY rarely get a chance to go fishing without the kids , we had a great time on the water and took home a fresh meal taboot. Our next outting together wont come soon enough.

A little kick in the caboose when he is retracting the trolling motor should straighten him out.

BTW that is a nice write up there Jeff

Quality of time on the water should never be measured by the size of the fish caught.

Hope I didn’t wake you guys up with my toot of the horn…sometimes I just can’t help myself.

It was a beautiful weekend to be on the river! I hope everyone had some time to enjoy the great weather (day or night).
