Looking at trying this method on a weedy lake next week and curious if anyone has any insight on setup??? Do you use a heavier jig head and then let it free fall?? I have heard it is completely opposite of normal jigging but curious?? Any particular gulp that you have more success with then others?? Color patterns and such?? Thanks and tight lines!

We use alot of the gulp for casting and bouncing it off the bottom over rocks for walleyes and it works great. As far as vertical jigging with it I’m not sure. I would use the smallest jighead you can get by with. Clear water use the more natural colors, dirtier water use the bright colors. For vertical jigging i would use the gulp minnows. We use these casting and we also use the gulp twisters. This is great stuff to use!

    Good Luck!

I really like PaddleTails for snap jigging. I usually go slightly heavier than if I was just normally fishing them.
Something about the PaddleTail action that really triggers bites when snap jigged.
