27″ Walleye

    Was out last night fishing in waders.
    I only caught one fish but she was my best walleye of the year so far.
    She went 27″ and was spawned out. No matter, she would have been released either way and was shortly after this picture was taken.

    Since I was in waders, I didn’t get a reading but from talking with the people who were in boats, they appear to be running right around 42-43 degrees.

    Great work Boog!
    I used to love to slip out in the evening with only a couple Rapalas to chuck this time of year in typical spawning areas.
    Hmmmmm I may still like to do that…

    I remember doing the same Boog,that water does get a bit chilly wading in it,but ya forget all about it in a hurry when ya get nice fish like that!
