chequamegon bay?

Hey; I am sitting with the calendar planning my weekends this summer. Does anyone have any info. or advice on walleye fishing Chequamegon Bay. Never fished it and hope to this spring or summer. any info would be great. I can’t find much on the web. Ton of info on bass but not walleye. Thanks

I am also looking at going up there this summer also. I talked to a guide who guides up there and he told me that the month of June was the best. Mainly a crankbait bite for trolling but spinners work sometimes. I only live two hours away so I would really like to get to know this body of water. I think it is a sleeper walleye area. Guess I will find out

Im not sure about the walleyes but I’d love to get up there and do some bass fishing

When do you plan on visiting chequamegon bay.
Like was posted already june is the best month but i catch most of my eyes rigging leeches or crawlers on the flats by the power plant also check out the discharge at the powerplant it can be very good in june.

Thanx i just found out about this site ive been using lake-link for a few years but nobody up here talks about the bay much. Im always looking for fellow bay fisherman but they seem to have tight lips so i checked this site out well i found this thread. But any ways i cant say im a pro at fishing the bay but i get out there as much as possible i would be out more but i dont have a big enough boat for it so if anybody ventures up for a trip my weekends are usually open if you have an open seat i may help get on some fish or maybe i will learn something.

Ajs Yes there are some pigs caught every year my personal best is 30.5 at 11 lbs with many low to mid twenty,s fish but the average is 17 to 19 (eaters)
