    have any of you guys heard of the blue walleye. i think i saw a article in a fishing magazine saying that the blue walleye is coming back. do any of you know if this is true. or am i reading this article wrong.

    Read about it in either Walleye Insider of In-fisherman magazine. Was very interesting.

    Not only have I heard of them, but I know of a lake in the BWCA where numerous ones have been caught! They really do exist. Lester Cleveland, former owner of Fish Lake Bait in Harris, his dad caught a beauty weight around 6-7#. It was displayed in the baitshop for years, not sure if it’s still there or not?

    I have caught quite a few blue walleyes on the Canadian side of Rainy Lake. One of only a few places they’re found, I guess. Beautiful fish. And when you catch one the first words out of your mouth are, ” What the hell?”

    My first one was in canada a couple years ago. It was a 22″ blue walleye. WOW what a pretty fish. We caught a few that day.

    i know of a lake by Jellicoe canada that has blue walleyes in it. was there last year and caught a few myself. very cool fish!!!!!
