Hey guys can any of you give me a web site where I can order bulk leeches from? Do they require much care to keep them alive?

Google Vados Bait. They ship anywhere. Probably out of season right now.

check with your local bait shops if you order through them in bulk they usually give you their cost least that’s what I’ve found.

Unless you’re going to use them fairly quickly, buying leeches in bulk is like buying a bunch of slimy little pets – you have to change the water every day or two or they die. At least that’s what would happen when I would get them by the pound.

I use the leech bedding. Live all summer in a cool place like your garage fridge.

Either Vados, like John mentioned, or call Fish Lake Bait in Harris 651-674-4734.

    Fish lake bait
They supply most of the metro area bait shops and their price in store seems to be 50-75% less then everywhere else.

While this topic is up- anyone keep bait- minnows, fat heads, shiners, suckers in a convenient manner for any length of time?

This was a few years ago before leech bedding, leech tamers, etc. For longer term storage, a gallon jar in the basement refrigerator isn’t the best method to use. But, that’s what there was at the time…

buy a leech tamer bag and throw the bag in the toilet tank.
    Fresh water with every flush.
Just make sure your significant other doesn’t know about it.
