last fall we caught plenty of walley jigging with three inch gulp minnows on a lake in northern Quebec. Last week I tried them while fishing in my fabrill tent with two rods jigging (one with gulp).I caught all the walleys on live minnows and nothing on the gulp. Has anyone else tried gulp under ice?

I’ve tried it last season and this season through the ice and I have seen the same results as you.

On the otherhand we have had some success with crappies through the ice with it.

Did try them at Lake of the Woods this Dec. with mixed results. Tried not a whole Gulp minnow, but just the head on a variety of spoons. Did catch some fish on it, but could not see a difference between that or a real minnow head. Fishing was very poor those days, so I will not draw a conclusion yet. Because they are a biodegradable product, could it be the colder water is not allowing the bait to give off its maximum scent? Just thought I would throw that out there.
