Why is the image shown at an angle? Is that just a function of your drift and how the camera deals with the downstream motion??
Jason, two thing caused this. I didn’t have the “fin” on the manta camera and the other was I had just a bit too much cable out. The camera was dragging slightly on the river bottom. In other words…the camera was tilted by going down stream sideways.

Ever wonder how many fish are in P4???
Kooty and Tuck, 90% of this video was shot in two passes in a drift about as long as a football field…maybe just a bit longer.
There were 4 or 5 boats fishing and I didn’t want to get too close to them. I figured a sauger that just got knocked in the head by a camera might not want to eat for a while.
If you notice, they are all about the same size. Soon and once I have a boat control person along, we’ll be out trophy hunting in some super secret locations between the dam and the head of Lake Pepin.

for the folks watching it make sure you click on “watch in high quality”, that really improves the viewing experience.
Thanks Mack. You are so right! The embedded viewer leaves much to be desired. Maybe I can talk James into posting the next video in the video forum using Flash Player.

The clarity of the camera is amazing. Wish I could afford one this year.
Sorry Dean at Everts can’t help you much out in Colorado.
But Dean is renting the 820 for $25 per day. I’ll warn you..leave your fishing pole at home!
Last year there were 3 of use looking at the display without problems…it’s HUGE!

Blades are always in contact with the bottom…now you know where the fish are…dead smack on the bottom…
As you know well Tom, it’s not just blades. We’ve all heard Dean talking about “less is more”. “Lift your (insert Ringworm, PaddleTail, Super Doo or Bk’s Semi Pro Blue Lizard ) two to four inches off the bottom and hold as long as you can.”
Anyone see why Jason does so well by dragging?
By the way, I’ve found this sunken log…and if I can figure out how to get it up, I might be retiring from all the lead heads stuck to it.
Also…can someone tell Marcum to make a camera with a cable at least 100 feet long? I really want to see what’s in the bottom of that scour hole…I think.
