I’ve read many posts here on trolling crankbaits on P2. I’ve been out and had some success pitching plastics and jig/minnow combos to wingdams on P2 and P4, but trolling cranks on the rivers, especially around wingdams isn’t intuitive to me.
When trolling cranks around wingdams, are guys just trolling by the tips of the dams or weaving in and out of a series of dams, or pulling up close to shore, setting out cranks and then trolling away pulling the cranks parallel to the dams?
When trolling away from dams, are you focusing on seams or looking for a particular type of shore structure or bottom structure?
Thanks in advance for any push in the right direction!!
