Usually spend the opener of bowhunting sitting in a tree. Not this year. My friend PWT Walleye Pro, Tom Gatzke, and his dad Lee, spent the opener of bowhunting looking for whitetails of the river…Not a bad fish even though he drives a Yar Craft.

Well give us the scoop! How big and what was the pattern of the day?

Nice ‘eye. Much bigger than the ones I didn’t catch this weekend while stuck here in the office.

Beautiful fish. That blue sky in the background makes that one awesome pic. Thought I heard through the grapevine that the bite was not too bad down that way. Any truth to that?

Thats the only whitetails I hunt for. When people ask me if I hunt I say: Sure do, I hunt for fish!
    Thanks, Bill
