I returned to Wissota on Sunday with rememberences of the prior weekend.My son-in-law and I had boated several walleyes,no rod benders but walleyes is walleyes.
Wellll let me tell ya,the weather can change a lot in a week and it did.Sunday at dawn the wind was roaring out of the north and I was foolish enough to launch at the south end of the lake.My 25 hp motor was strong enough to make a trek north,but the water breaking over the bow of my boat was……unnerving.I turned tail and fished the protected area of little Wissota….skunked….

Discretion is the better part of valor.

I can’t argue that.I plan on returning again this weekend,does that make me insane or just a glutton for punishment?
