What was your most successful Tactic for Opener?
Mine was Snap jigging in 6-8 Fow on the sandy shorelines with spot tail shiners and a chartreuse and perch colored jigs.

Trolling Thundersticks over the weeds in 4-6 FOW fishing the smaller lakes with warmer water.
Staying home, working on my “list”, and getting the yard done…
That’s how I plan most of my openers…
Jack..
8 iron on the 170 yrd. par 3 in Richmond! Did better golfing than fishing. Easier to have a couple
I didn’t get a chance to make it out over opener but many of my favorite opener trips started with slow trolling stickbaits over the top of new weed growth on shallow sand. I know many guys opt for rigging or slip bobbering but those methods tend to be a little too slow paced for me. I’ll go that route if I have to do it to catch fish but I’ll usually opt for a cast or troll presentation to get started.
